Brittany's lil bunnies

Hello! I am so excited that you have taken an interest in Brittany's lil Bunnies licensed Daycare! It is a great place to play, a fun place to learn and a sunny patch for your child to grow! Let me tell you a little about me and my daycare. I became interested in providing childcare because I recognized that I had a passion for advocating for the growth of the whole child and providing a safe and happy space where they could do this. I also enjoy children and daycare activities. Some of my strengths are my scheduling abilities, my classroom knowledge, my parenting knowledge, my experience with special needs children, my outgoing nature and my flexibility.  At my daycare, children gain a sense of acceptance, a feeling of peace when they come here everyday. I know it is hard to separate from home, so I want my daycare to be home away from home and eliminate as much anxiety as possible by maintaining a calm and gentle but fun setting. Brittany's lil Bunnies also maintains a preschool curriculum that teaches through mostly play but also things like circle time (stories, songs, puppets, etc.), yoga, sensory tables, imagination stations, arts and crafts, math games, theme weeks, class books/workbooks, and nature exploration.

A Great place to play

My large basement was finished this past year to become the daycare. Inside we have put a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, tv/yoga corner, office nook, circle time room and lots of storage for toys and the rest of the space is for play, play, play! Outside the yard has a playground side yard under a large pear tree where beautiful birds and many fat squirrels and bunnies come to eat. There is a fenced in patio in the back safe for riding bicycles and scooters and playing little play grills. The front of the house is our neighbor's horse farm where often the horses come right up to the fence. Sometimes we sit and watch deer and wild turkeys crossing through in the morning fog. The walking path leads directly to the Mississippi river but we can take the path the other way just a short distance to the neighborhood playground with my six seat stroller.  There are many trees and flowers in the yard that have brought cardinals, hummingbirds and monarchs to our yard to point out to the children. Last summer, we raised them from cocoons, released them, and were visited by our special friends the rest of the summer.
